Our journey began with Mr. Chhogalal Luhar, widely known as the “Technical Surgeon” of Vatva GIDC, Ahmedabad, for his outstanding technical knowledge and remarkable ability to solve complex engineering problems.
He established O.C. Engineering Works, a specialised toolroom manufacturing precision components for pharmaceutical machinery and undertaking challenging engineering projects.
Driven by his passion for research and hydraulic technology, Mr. Chhogalal Luhar developed several innovative machines and engineering solutions. In 2001, he designed and built a large hydraulic deep-drawing press—of a type that was not readily available in the market at that time. This achievement marked our entry into the sheet-metal forming industry.
After entering the sheet-metal forming industry, we established Varun Engineering Works and expanded our business across India. With a vision to serve customers worldwide, we introduced a new technical identity—Metaforms Engineering—a name that directly reflects our expertise in metal forming and engineering.
Today, Metaforms Engineering operates from a new 15,000 sq. ft. manufacturing setup in Ahmedabad. We specialise in heavy deep-drawn stainless-steel components from 2 mm to 10 mm thickness.
